Why We Are Hiring for This Role
Were seeking a Robotics Technician to join our robotics team. This is more than just a hands-on assembly jobits a strategic, high-impact role where youll contribute to how our robotic systems are built, tested, and scaled. You must have a passion for building systems from the ground up, this role offers the opportunity to be involved in both prototyping and shaping production processes.
Youll work closely with engineering, operations, and product teams to bring complex electromechanical systems to life, improve assembly workflows, and help drive product quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and test robotic subsystems and full systems with precision and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with engineers to interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
- Provide feedback on build challenges and suggest process improvements or design changes.
- Assist with documentation, including work instructions, BOMs, and test procedures.
- Support rapid prototyping, iteration, and hardware validation efforts.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues during the build process; help root out causes and propose solutions.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe assembly and test environment.
- Partner with supply chain and operations teams to evaluate components and materials.
What Kind of Person Are We Looking for
- Hands-on experience assembling electromechanical systemsacademic, personal, or professional.
- Familiarity with mechanical and electrical tools (e.g., soldering irons, torque drivers, multimeters).
- Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with hardware testing and validation processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communicator and team collaborator.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and eager to contribute beyond the bench.
- Associate degree required; a Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field is a plus.
- Prior experience building robots or complex hardware systems in school, labs, or internships is a plus.
- Exposure to CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Onshape) or version control systems is a plus.
- Experience with robotics hardware: actuators, sensors, PCBs, etc. is a plus.
