Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/22/2026 Duration: 12 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse - ICU Facility: University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus Location: 827 Linden Ave, Baltimore, MD 21201 Contract Type: Travel Assignment (12 Weeks) Start Date: September 22, 2025 Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Job Details Shift Options: Day Shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 – 19:30) Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 – 07:30) Weekend & Holiday Requirements: Every 3rd weekend Holiday rotation required (major holidays covered) Requirements & Qualifications Licensure & Certifications: Active RN License: Maryland (MD) or Compact License (required at submission) Certifications: BLS (AHA) ACLS (AHA) CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) – Calm Every Storm online version accepted Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience Preferred: Trauma Level I experience Charge nurse experience Teaching hospital background Required Skills: Ventilated patient care Titration of cardiac/vasoactive drips Central & arterial line management Dysrhythmia interpretation & intervention Compliance & Restrictions: No local candidates (must reside >50 miles from facility) No recent UMMS employment (must be 12 months since last staff role) Floating: Required (first to float within scope) References: 2 professional references (1 supervisor 1 charge RN) Unit & Facility Details Patient Ratio: 1:2 (Days/Nights/Weekends) Unit Type: Surgical ICU (18 beds) Interdisciplinary Support: Rapid Response, Respiratory Therapy, IV Team, Pharmacy, Social Services Charting System: EPIC (preferred, if applicable) About HonorVet Technologies HonorVet Technologies: Pioneering Purpose, Empowering Heroes Founded in 2015, HonorVet Technologies stands as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) , proudly certified by NaVOBA and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs .
