Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a contract with a client in Hamilton Township, NJ. Candidates must demonstrate hands-on expertise in architecting Microsoft Fabric solutions and integrating AI models using Azure OpenAI.
Rate Range: $49/hour to 53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Engineer job responsibilities include:

  • Architect and implement end-to-end Microsoft Fabric solutions including Data Factory, OneLake, Lakehouse, and Power BI for scalable data analytics.
  • Design and deploy AI models using Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI Service, integrating Copilot solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem.
  • Build and optimize data pipelines from diverse sources (SQL, APIs, Salesforce, Oracle, Dynamics) and implement medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold).
  • Develop real-time streaming analytics using Event Streams and KQL databases, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Establish governance and DevOps practices using Microsoft Purview, CI/CD pipelines, and RBAC for secure and compliant data operations.
  • Lead technical workshops and mentor junior engineers, translating complex solutions into business value and contributing to enterprise AI strategy.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8+ years in data engineering with a strong focus on cloud-native architecture, preferably on Microsoft Azure.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric components including Data Factory, OneLake, Lakehouse, and Power BI.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deploy AI models using Azure OpenAI Service and integrate Copilot solutions across Microsoft platforms.

Pay Details: $49.00 to $53.00 per hour
