IT State Government Proposal Writer

Position Summary:
Wonderschool is harnessing the power of technology to support child care providers and public sector partners through scalable, effective solutions. We are seeking a IT State Government Proposal Writer to join our team as a consultant. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with our team to identify, respond to, and win state government IT RFPs-both those written for us and those not originally tailored to our solutions. You'll be a key player in growing our public sector footprint by managing the end-to-end proposal process and crafting competitive, compelling responses.
You Will:

• Identify and respond to state government IT RFPs that align with Wonderschool's capabilities.
• Write, tailor, and submit proposals that position our product effectively-especially for opportunities not initially written with us in mind.
• Manage and own the full proposal process, including timelines, requirements, and stakeholder coordination.
• Work closely with CEO and others to ensure proposals reflect product functionality, compliance, and strategic positioning.
• Track, analyze, and continuously improve win rates across submitted proposals.

You Have:

• A proven track record of winning IT RFPs from state governments, especially proposals not written with your organization in mind.
• Deep familiarity with government procurement processes, ideally having competed with or alongside firms like Deloitte or Accenture.
• Strong writing skills and an eye for strategy, compliance, and clarity.
• A competitive edge-you're relentless in crafting proposals that win, and you hate to lose.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple proposals simultaneously, and meet deadlines with high-quality work.
• Comfortable working remotely and being paid hourly, with the flexibility to commit enough time to complete deliverables.
