Due to continued company success and predicted growth, we have an opportunity available for a suitably experienced HSE Coordinator who is looking to step into a new role and utilise their years of knowledge and experience in the industry.
The Role
The role of HSE Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining Health, Safety and Environment at the core of Swick's business, through visible safety leadership and continual improvement and contribution to HSE management system, strategies and initiatives.
Role duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist the HSE Manager in driving the HSE Management System and conducting audits, site visits, and inspections.
- Support project implementation, strategic HSE initiatives, and risk assessments, providing recommendations for risk control.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, client requirements, and environmental impact evaluations.
- Facilitate incident investigations using Intersafe methodology or clients preferred system
- Review and advise on HSE policies, procedures, and competencies.
- Monitor and report on HSE performance, training, and competencies, and advise on continuous improvement strategies.
- Promote and adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies, manage HSE events, and keep abreast of WHS regulations and industry best practices.
- Create a personable and collaborative approach within all work divisions and teams to achieve a high safety standard
The successful candidate will be required to meet the following criteria:
- Cert IV in WHS
- Preferred 2 years' experience in a safety role
- Preferred 2 years drilling experience or knowledge
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- Must have report writing and analytical skills
- High level of written, digital and verbal communication
