Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Designer with 10+ years of expertise in the utility industry, particularly in gas and electric systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong leadership background, hands-on experience with design tools, and a proactive approach to driving projects forward. This position is a contract to hire opportunity, and the successful candidate will be expected to work in a hybrid capacity, with a minimum of one in-office day per week. There may also be potential travel to job sites.

Job Duties:
- Lead and manage design projects within the utility industry, focusing on gas and electric systems.
- Collaborate with clients and customers to understand project requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Utilize AutoCAD and MicroStation CAD software to create and refine detailed designs.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of engineers and designers.
- Ensure the timely delivery of design projects while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Work independently while staying self-motivated to meet deadlines.
- Participate in on-site visits and assist with construction projects when necessary.
- 10+ years of design experience in the utility industry (gas and electric preferred).
- Strong leadership experience or proven ability to lead a team.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and MicroStation CAD software.
- Ability to work effectively with customers/clients and translate needs into actionable designs.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to travel to job sites as needed.
