Position Overview
Nextracker is welcoming a highly skilled and motivated Power Electronics Specialist to join our team in the Fremont office. As a Power Electronics Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the conceptualization, design, development, and optimization of power electronics systems for Nextracker's innovative energy products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of sustainable energy solutions while collaborating with a world-class team of engineers and researchers.
Qualifications
Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Over 15 years of experience in the design and development of power electronics/power conversion products. Proven track record of delivering creative and practical solutions for complex power electronics problems. Expertise in leading new power system development, including DC/DC, AC/DC rectifiers, solar inverters, UPS, and variable speed drives, with a solid understanding of power electronics fundamentals. Knowledge of power converter modeling and simulation. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional project teams and deliver executive-level briefings. Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Innovate and design the next generation of power conversion solutions, analyzing performance, cost, reliability, and availability trade-offs. Lead high-power projects involving new technologies or novel applications of existing technologies for cutting-edge green energy solutions. Partner with industry leaders to evaluate and adopt the most compelling cutting-edge technologies. Engage cross-functionally to ensure successful roll-out, testing, and complete validation of new systems. Provide technical leadership and direction while troubleshooting complex system-level power delivery issues.

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The annual salary range for this position is 200,000.00 to 220,000.00.
