TÜV Rheinland North America . We are growing our rail safety consulting team in the United States and Canada. TÜV Rheinland delivers safety and security audits, independent safety assessments, and safety assurance services for rail and transit systems. Join us and contribute to high-visibility projects modernizing train control systems and building new rail infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

Technical leadership: Lead project deliveries in accordance with industry standards and regulations. Coordinate multi-disciplinary team members across North America and Europe. Project management: Organize service delivery; track and report progress. Engage with transit agencies, construction firms, systems integrators, equipment suppliers, and subconsultants. Bids and proposals: Develop statements of qualification and articulate TÜV Rheinland‘s approach to the work. Industry leadership: Engage with standard-setting organizations and liaise with regulatory authorities and accreditation bodies. Position Requirements

Minimum 10 years of experience in the rail industry, with at least 5 years working with safety-critical systems. Extensive experience with train control systems and automated rail operations. Expertise in Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC) or European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS). Deep understanding of railway functional safety standards: EN 50126, IEC 62278, EN 50128, EN 50716, IEC 62279, EN 50159, IEC 62280, EN 50129, IEC 62425. Familiar with the Canadian Method for Risk Evaluation and Assessment (CMREA) or the European Common Safety Method (CSM). Authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada. This is a remote position with occasional travel to client sites. This job is active and accepting applications.
