Job Summary:

Tech USA is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer for a direct hire opportunity with a precision manufacturing leader. This individual will develop and optimize machining processes, provide shop floor support, and lead new product introductions with a focus on CNC operations. This is a high-impact role for someone passionate about driving productivity and improving manufacturing performance in a fast-paced, engineering-driven environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and standardize CNC machining processes, tooling, and equipment
  • Create CNC programs for multi-axis lathes and mills using Esprit CAM
  • Collaborate with machinists to troubleshoot issues and improve manufacturing efficiency
  • Perform contract review to ensure manufacturability and technical readiness
  • Design or oversee design of fixtures, special tools, and gaging systems
  • Create standard operating procedures, training documents, and job setup guides
  • Support capital equipment justifications and implementation
  • Provide technical support for new product introductions (NPI), including BOMs, routings, and in-process drawings
  • Lead efforts in setup reduction and cellular manufacturing
  • Participate in MRB meetings and resolve NCRs with rework instructions
  • Implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and maintain accurate documentation
  • Interface with customers and suppliers on manufacturing-related topics
  • Stay current with modern manufacturing technologies and industry standards


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering
  • At least 3 years of hands-on CNC and conventional machining experience
  • Experience with tooling and fixture design is required
  • Strong GD&T knowledge
  • Experience with Esprit CAM; Siemens NX CAD is a plus
  • Familiarity with AS9100 and aerospace manufacturing standards
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of the 8-D problem solving method is a plus
  • Prior experience with cellular manufacturing is highly desirable
  • Preference for candidates with CNC shop floor background who can support machinists hands-on
