Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance operations within a dynamic food manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring optimal performance and reliability of all equipment and facilities, minimizing downtime, and supporting high standards of product quality and safety. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Manager will oversee a team of technicians and collaborate cross-functionally to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and troubleshooting, to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Develop and execute maintenance strategies and schedules that enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency while controlling costs.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to align maintenance priorities with production goals and minimize disruptions.
  • Recruit, train, and manage maintenance personnel, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and internal protocols, including OSHA standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, monitor expenditures, and oversee spare parts inventory to support cost-effective operations.
  • Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to track work orders, equipment history, and performance metrics.
  • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, optimize performance, and implement process improvements.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for parts procurement, equipment servicing, and project execution.
  • Stay informed on industry best practices and emerging technologies to continuously enhance maintenance capabilities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive leadership experience in maintenance within a food manufacturing or similar regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance methodologies, including preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external partners.
  • Proficiency in CMMS and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with EAM systems is a plus.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, and food safety compliance standards.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment with shifting priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Certified Plant Maintenance Manager (CPMM) are highly desirable.
