Project Engineer

Full Time • Exempt • Based in Jacksonville, FL

$60k to $70k

Join a team built on residential craftsmanship standards combined with commercial building expertise. You’ll support mid-size commercial and multifamily projects from precon through closeout - collaborating closely with architects, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Your contribution ensures projects are delivered with integrity, attention to detail, and safety at the forefront.

This role is perfect for someone who loves the hands‑on side of construction but aspires to build toward project leadership. You’ll work shoulder‑to‑shoulder with field and office staff, bridging the gap between plan sets and finished product.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage RFIs, submittals, schedule updates, and project documentation.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and monitor vendor coordination.
  • Collaborate daily with subcontractors, architects, and trades to meet quality standards.
  • Support preparation of change orders, subcontracts, and monthly pay applications.
  • Assist superintendent teams with site coordination and weekly planning.
  • Engage with preconstruction and estimating when workload allows.
  • Help lead project closeout: as‑builts, manuals, warranties, and final punch‑list completion.
  • Promote safety, quality, and compliance across all phases.
  • Proactively identify project challenges and help the team resolve them efficiently.

What You Bring

  • Degree in construction management, engineering, or relevant field - or equivalent experience.
  • 0–1 year of industry experience (internships count).
  • Exceptional communicator, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam or On‑Screen Takeoff is preferred.
  • A collaborative mindset, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn.

What You’ll Gain

  • Real hands-on experience learning from experienced builders who bring residential quality into commercial projects.
  • Opportunity to grow into a Project Manager role by tackling meaningful responsibilities from day one.
  • Connection to a team that values craftsmanship, honesty, teamwork, and long‑term community impact.
  • Medical/Dental/Vision benefits (effective soon after start)
  • PTO + paid holidays
  • 401(k) with employer match (up to 4%)
  • Profit - sharing potential
