Job Title: Sr. Analyst of Revenue Accounting

The Senior Revenue Accounting will be a key member of the Revenue Accounting team and will report directly to the Local Manager of Revenue. As a top candidate, you should have a desire to learn and analyse complex revenue transactions and go-to market strategies using your understanding of Hardware, Software and SaaS revenue recognition (ASC 606). This role will be part of the Revenue Team leadership responsible for developing and growing a world class team as the company continues to grow.
Duties :
- Ensure revenue recognition in company financials is in accordance with US GAAP/ASC 606
- Partner with the Deal Desk team to provide revenue recognition guidance during contract negotiations.
- Review and assist with contract revenue write-up process and partner with our external auditors to ensure the accuracy of our revenue is maintained.
- Perform monthly/quarterly revenue accounting close efforts, including preparation/review of close files, reconciliation procedures, controls, and submission of auditable workpapers
- Preparation of quarterly reporting slides for CAO/CFO readouts on quarterly results.
- Daily monitoring and reviews of revenue transaction and approvals of non-standard requests such as assessment of payment terms, return rights, etc.
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects and cross-functional initiatives as needed.
- Exceptional problem solver – uses rigorous logic and methods to solve problems and is excellent at honest analysis. Doesn’t stop at first answers rather he/she will strive to seek the correct answer.
- Extensive experience and ability to utilize excel – the majority of our final accounting is handled in excel
- Strong business acumen – can identify risk and opportunity.
- An efficient multi-tasker – can marshal resources and orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish their goal.
Education :
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Experience:
- Minimum 3 to 6 years of relevant revenue accounting experience
- At least 2 years of public company revenue recognition experience highly desired
- Working knowledge of Revenue Recognition Accounting in accordance with ASC 606
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products with advanced Excel skills
- Strong leadership skills and high degree of business proficiency and judgment is essential
- Ability to analyse transactions from an accounting and economic perspective
- Excellent problem-solving and strong analytical skills
- Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills across multiple levels, functions, and locations
- Experience with NetSuite, SFDC, SQL, SAP and Tableau highly desired
