Our client is interested in hiring individuals with a current teaching certification or willing to participate in paid training to earn a teaching certification.


The Youth Education Instructor is responsible for developing and delivering educational instruction that addresses the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of youth who have been adjudicated delinquent or are at risk of delinquency. This role combines classroom teaching with mentorship and behavioral support, fostering an environment of accountability, personal growth, and rehabilitation.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Criminal Justice, Social Work, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Current Valid state teaching certification (Special Education, Secondary Education, or Alternative Education license often preferred) or willingness to attend training to earn certification while working for the school.
  • Experience working with at-risk youth, particularly those involved in the juvenile justice system.
  • Strong classroom management, trauma-informed teaching, and culturally responsive pedagogy.


Preferred Skills:

  • Training in behavioral intervention strategies (PBIS, CPI, etc.).
  • Familiarity with restorative justice, youth development principles, and social-emotional learning (SEL).
  • Ability to handle high-stress environments with empathy, patience, and professionalism.


Salary Range:

$55,000 – $85,000 annually, depending on experience, credentials, and work setting.
