We are seeking an experienced Asset Manager to oversee a portfolio of affordable housing/LIHTC communities, with an emphasis on maximizing financial performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving long-term value. This role is ideal for someone who understands the complexities of LIHTC assets and wants to make a meaningful impact in the affordable housing space.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute annual business plans for each property, including budgets and capital strategies
- Track and analyze asset performance using KPIs, cash flow projections, and variance reporting
- Conduct regular site visits, lead capital planning, and coordinate with property management
- Oversee compliance with lender, investor, and regulatory requirements, including LIHTC programs
- Review audits, tax filings, and manage responses to audit inquiries and appeals
- Monitor risk exposure and manage insurance-related issues across the portfolio
- Support financial modeling for refinancing, recapitalization, and potential dispositions
- Assist with due diligence and underwriting for acquisitions and strategic initiatives
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in LIHTC/affordable housing asset management, with deep knowledge of LIHTC regulations and compliance
- Background in property operations, financial reporting, and portfolio oversight
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel; experience with Yardi or MRI preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required; CHAM certification or related credential a plus
