We are seeking a highly analytical and driven Demand Analyst to join our team. This role is critical in helping forecast customer demand using industry-standard demand planning tools. The Demand Analyst will collaborate closely with Sales, National Accounts, Product Management, and other cross-functional teams to generate accurate demand forecasts, analyze forecast-to-actual variances, and provide actionable insights to drive better decision-making across the organization.
Primary Job Duties:
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts using out-of-the-box demand planning tools and internal business intelligence.
- Partner with Sales, Product Management, and Finance teams to understand market trends, promotions, product lifecycle changes, and other demand drivers.
- Conduct regular forecast accuracy reviews and analyze forecast vs. actual performance to identify gaps, trends, and improvement opportunities.
- Lead discussions with commercial and operational teams to validate forecasts and understand business assumptions.
- Prepare and present forecast insights and variance analyses to key stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on demand planning KPIs (e.g., forecast accuracy, bias, fill rate).
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of demand planning processes and systems.
- Identify and communicate risks and opportunities related to forecast changes.
- Contribute to SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning) meetings with meaningful data and commentary.
- Other duties as assigned within the Supply Chain function.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with demand planning tools and forecasting software (e.g., IFS Demand Planner, SAP IBP, Oracle Demantra, Kinaxis, Anaplan, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret large data sets and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively across departments.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills — able to build trust, challenge assumptions, and drive alignment with Sales, Product Management, and other stakeholders.
- Familiarity with SIOP processes and cross-functional collaboration best practices.
Education Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or a related analytical role.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Mobility and dexterity to move around office settings including accessing file cabinets or storage and navigating to different workstations.
- Must be able to remain stationary for extended periods of time and engage in some repetitive motion.
- Standing, walking and sitting for extended periods of time.
