Minimum 3 years of litigation experience – Probate & Trust focus


Our client is seeking a Trusts & Estates Litigation Attorney with at least three years of recent civil litigation experience , ideally including probate and trust litigation . Candidates with a portable book of business are encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, research, and writing skills , and have experience with court appearances, motion practice, and discovery. This role requires a detail-oriented, proactive attorney capable of managing a high-volume, fast-paced caseload independently, while also working effectively within a team.

Responsibilities may also include mentoring junior attorneys , delegating assignments , and supporting the training and development of team members within the Trusts & Estates Litigation group.


Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence
  • Handle court appearances, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials/arbitrations
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, and witnesses
  • Develop and execute litigation strategies tailored to each case
  • Conduct legal research
  • Meet or exceed billable hour requirements
  • Independently manage caseloads and deadlines
  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff


Requirements:

  • Active member of the California State Bar
  • Minimum of 3 years of civil litigation experience (probate/trust litigation preferred)
  • Proficiency in California Rules of Court and local court rules
  • Experience with legal software tools including Microsoft Office Suite , Adobe Acrobat , and law firm case management platforms
  • Strong attention to detail, grammar, and written communication
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and manage client relationships from intake to resolution
  • Positive attitude and interest in mentoring and professional development
