Reports To: Director of Supply Chain / Plant Manager


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all logistics functions including transportation, warehousing, inventory, and distribution.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA, SQF) and transportation laws.
  • Coordinate with production, procurement, and sales teams to align logistics with business needs.
  • Oversee third-party logistics (3PL) providers and carrier relationships.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery accuracy, lead times, and freight costs.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage and handling of food products.
  • Lead and develop logistics team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Utilize ERP and logistics software systems to manage operations and generate reports.
  • Respond to logistics-related issues and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of logistics or supply chain experience in a food manufacturing or CPG environment.
  • Strong understanding of transportation management, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and cold chain logistics.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, WMS, TMS).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
