Who We’re Looking For:
A Senior Part Time Technical Writer for a 6 month contract with extension likely. Must have experience with DITA or other XML based authoring tools. Prefer candidates in Milwaukee area able to work in office some days.
Responsibilities:
- Use mechanical skills to read mechanical drawings and go into the lab to look at boilers and prototypes.
- Use Interpersonal skills to interview and have independent discussions with stakeholders to get information.
- Write documentation professionally.
Qualifications:
- Requires experience with FrameMaker (structured preferred but not required)
- Requires experience with a CMS (preferably DITA but other CMSs like Paligo or even MadCap would be ok)
- Graphics – Adobe Illustrator and photoshop
- Experience with CMS conversions a strong plus
- Experience with style sheets a plus
- SharePoint experience a plus
