Codeworks is an IT Services firm headquartered in SE Wisconsin, known for our strong commitment to quality and for our direct client relationships.


Who We’re Looking For:

A Senior Part Time Technical Writer for a 6 month contract with extension likely. Must have experience with DITA or other XML based authoring tools. Prefer candidates in Milwaukee area able to work in office some days.


Responsibilities:

  • Use mechanical skills to read mechanical drawings and go into the lab to look at boilers and prototypes.
  • Use Interpersonal skills to interview and have independent discussions with stakeholders to get information.
  • Write documentation professionally.


Qualifications:

  • Requires experience with FrameMaker (structured preferred but not required)
  • Requires experience with a CMS (preferably DITA but other CMSs like Paligo or even MadCap would be ok)
  • Graphics – Adobe Illustrator and photoshop
  • Experience with CMS conversions a strong plus
  • Experience with style sheets a plus
  • SharePoint experience a plus
