Transportation Supervisor
Job description:
Responsibilities:
- Plans, directs, and coordinates all route services to provide passengers with fast, efficient, and safe transportation.
- Directly supervises dispatchers, lead dispatchers and bus operators.
- Supervises operations and ensures that activities are conducted in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Drives PDRTA routes when necessary.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or minimum of two years responsible supervisory experience; additional education or certification in logistics or transportation management is a plus.
- Proven experience in transportation operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in using transportation management software and other relevant tools.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Other Requirements:
- CDL preferred or must be willing to obtain Class B with Passenger Endorsement. In-house CDL training and testing available .
- Must pass a DOT physical exam and criminal background check.
- Must receive a negative result from a DOT pre-employment drug screen.
Starting Salary will be commensurate with years of experience and/or advanced educational degree.
