Parsec, LLC is seeking a Ramp Supervisor to oversee daily ramp operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely freight movement. This role supervises ramp personnel, coordinates with other departments, and maintains compliance with safety and operational procedures.


Shifts Available:

6:00pm to 6:00am - 3 days on 3 days off

(Including weekends and holidays)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate ramp operations including loading, unloading, and staging of trailers, containers, and railcars.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, security, and operational policies.
  • Monitor employee performance and provide coaching, training, and corrective action as needed.
  • Schedule and assign work to ramp personnel to meet operational demands.
  • Communicate with yard, warehouse, and clerical teams to maintain smooth workflow.
  • Inspect equipment and work areas for safety hazards and proper maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of operational activities and productivity.
  • Support the Operations Manager in meeting customer service expectations and contractual obligations.
  • Conduct shift briefings to relay operational updates and safety reminders.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's and Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in ramp, intermodal, or freight operations; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of rail, intermodal, and terminal operations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment with variable weather conditions.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications and operational tracking systems.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
