Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Surveying & Layout Manager at Ely Concrete Construction in the Atlanta market. The Manager will be responsible for overseeing layout design, analog, IC layout, analog layout, and Cadence for construction projects in various sectors.


Responsibilities:

  • Sets up and maintains permanent control throughout the entire line and grade portion of the project.
  • Reviews and understands project documents.
  • Validates accurate dimensions by reviewing the architectural and structural drawings prior to execution.
  • Layout of foundations, anchor bolts, embeds, block outs and concrete walls.
  • Layout of slab edges.
  • Prompt execution of as-built drawings.
  • Ability to identify any discrepancies in drawings prior to execution and makes Project Superintendent aware of those discrepancies.
  • Coordinates with the Project Superintendent on the line and grade portion of the project.
  • Proficient with the use of advanced instruments and total station to perform an accurate layout.
  • Ability to complete a layout in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.


Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • 2+ years of experience in field engineering, surveying, and layout for a large scale Self-Perform GC or Concrete Contractor.
  • Previous experience of concrete means and methods is required.
  • Seeking someone with a variety of project types with emphasis on Commercial/Industrial.
  • Experienced with using advanced instruments and capable of using Total Station to perform layouts.
  • Experience with total station or robot

Compensation & Benefits:
