Litigation Associate – 3–8 Years Experience (NJ Licensed, NY a Plus)

Avelino Law, LLP is seeking a talented and motivated Litigation Associate to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have 3–8 years of experience handling civil and commercial litigation matters. Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and trials
- Conduct legal research and analysis on complex issues
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
- Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy
- Manage case files from inception to resolution
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice in New Jersey (New York admission is a strong plus)
- 3–8 years of litigation experience , preferably in civil or commercial matters
- Court skills, including experience in arguing motions and conducting trials or arbitrations
- Excellent writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Salary range for this role is $100,000 to $150,000. A variety of factors are considered in deciding compensation, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. This position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses.
Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on employer discretion and individual circumstances. This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
