Business Analyst IT L3
Location: Torrance, CA
Note : Looking for Local to California consultants only and on w2.
Daily Tasks Performed:
- Successful candidate will assume the role of Mainframe Systems SME and assist the Project Manager and/or Team Manager on various Parts Applications projects.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and create and manage the completion of units of work completed by the successful candidate and other team members.
- Assigned units of work vary from 100-hour enhancements, up to team members on a large project.
- Responsible for gathering requirements, functional and Detailed analysis/design, testing (unit, integration, system, user acceptance), implementation, documentation, warranty.
- Defining architectural solutions to meet application requirements.
- Providing status to Project Manager/Lead, as needed. Analysis/Design roughly 30-40%, Development (code, unit test, int test, system test, UAT, Implement, Warranty) roughly 30-40%, Architectural solutions roughly 20-40%
Position Success Criteria (Desired) - Wants:
- Proficient in COBOL, CICS, JCL, IMS, VSAM, DB2, and System Development Life Cycle Concepts.
- Experience working in Microsoft development technologies i.e. .Net core, MVC.Net, C#, Angular is a plus.
- Working knowledge of software engineering, software development, solution architecture and implementation of medium to large scale systems across multiple platforms
- Ability to collaborate with multiple disciplines across the enterprise
- Understanding technology strategy, technology standards, roadmaps, and practices
- Technical aptitude of multi ‐ tier and cross ‐ platform architectures across the enterprise.
- Understanding in the information technology landscape ‐ stretching from infrastructure, network, client, server, emerging technology standards and trends
- Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodology.
- Knowledge of Automotive Parts Systems, Warehousing and Supply Chain is a plus.
Additional Comments:
- Proficiency in COBOL, CICS, JCL, IMS, VSAM, DB2, and System Development Life Cycle Concepts a must.
