Fleet Manager
The ideal Fleet Manager provides excellent customer service and support to our local branches while managing all company fleet vehicles and programs. You have proven fleet management experience and are knowledgeable of all Federal, State, and local regulations. Experience with implementation and ownership of vehicle maintenance programs, interacting with drivers, cost optimization, and fleet strategy over our 300 vehicles consisting of cylinder delivery straight and box trucks, tractor-trailer and tube trailers, cryogenic microbulk and bulk tankers.
Responsibilities and requirements will include but are not limited to:
- Compliance management - monitors and ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations and guidelines (DOT, MVA, IFTA, registrations, other tax requirements)
- Proven practice and understanding of DOT requirements
- Experience planning and implementing company-wide and regional fleet strategies including cost analysis, purchases, replacements, preventive maintenance, part stocking and repair providers
- Ability to recognize and solve problematic situations or seek assistance as necessary
- Coach and educate Branch Managers on best fleet practices, regulations, and company guidelines
- Strong leadership and self-motivational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other fleet management tools
- 5 years’ previous experience in fleet management and service
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Up to 10% travel required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and pass pre-employment screenings
