Job Title: Area Planner / Scheduler x 3

Location: Winnemucca, Nevada (Thacker Pass Site)

Work Status: Onsite, Site-based | Single-status Workforce Hub (Camp Housing and Transportation Provided)

Duration: 12 months+ (contract-to-possible perm opportunity)

Pay Rate: $52-$67/hr


Position Summary:

We are seeking dedicated Planner/Schedulers to join our client's project team on a site-based assignment. Reporting directly to the assigned Project Supervisor and working under the guidance of the GBU functional team, this role will focus primarily on planning and scheduling activities in the Downstream & Upstream areas of a major construction project.


The ideal candidates will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and monitoring of the construction schedule, as well as the creation of recovery plans. You will support 90-day Work Front Analyses and 3-week lookaheads, while providing detailed assessments of schedule variances.


These positions require a proactive, well-organized individual with excellent communication skills who can collaborate effectively across teams, drive planning focus, and propose innovative scheduling solutions when challenges arise.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules across multiple disciplines, integrating inputs from engineering, procurement, construction, and startup teams.
  • Support and lead 90-day and 3-week lookahead schedule planning and analysis.
  • Monitor and analyze schedule performance, including identification of critical paths and schedule variances.
  • Coordinate and incorporate subcontractor schedules into the master project schedule.
  • Analyze and recommend mitigation or recovery plans for schedule delays.
  • Conduct schedule-based productivity analyses and recommend performance improvements.
  • Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to gather scope and scheduling data.
  • Perform detailed schedule reviews for accuracy, logic, and feasibility.
  • Generate reports for internal stakeholders, including monthly updates and variance assessments.
  • Support resource loading, leveling, and allocation for assigned scopes of work.
  • Review project milestones and ensure alignment with current schedule forecasts.
  • Identify inter-discipline constraints and assist in developing solutions.
  • Conduct scenario planning and "what-if" analysis to test potential alternatives.
  • Lead schedule workshops or meetings to communicate updates and forecasts to the team.


Qualifications:


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 5–8 years of relevant experience, OR
  • 9–12 years of relevant hands-on planning and scheduling experience without a degree


Technical Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong understanding of construction workflows and inter-discipline interfaces
  • Familiarity with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) processes
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve scheduling issues in complex projects
  • Prior experience supporting large-scale or high-value projects with non-routine demands
  • Capable of creating visual reports and communicating schedule status effectively
  • Experience in integrating subcontractor and vendor schedules into master schedules
