We are currently looking for a reliable, hands-on Sanitation Supervisor for 3rd shift to lead our overnight sanitation team.
Job Summary:
As our 3rd Shift Sanitation Supervisor, you’ll lead the sanitation team responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all production areas and equipment to ensure compliance with food safety standards. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and inspection-ready facility while mentoring team members and enforcing sanitation procedures and schedules.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and motivate 3rd shift sanitation team members to meet nightly sanitation goals.
- Ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing of all equipment and facility areas in accordance with SSOPs, GMPs, and company policies.
- Coordinate sanitation activities between two nearby production facilities as needed.
- Verify the proper use of cleaning chemicals and PPE; enforce safety and food safety standards at all times.
- Perform inspections and audits of cleaning effectiveness; address deficiencies promptly.
- Complete shift reports, sanitation documentation, and verify compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
- Communicate with QA, maintenance, and production teams to ensure production readiness.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for sanitation or food safety issues.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or food science training is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in sanitation in a food manufacturing environment, including at least 1 year in a leadership or lead role.
- Strong knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, SSOPs, and chemical safety.
- Ability to lead, coach, and hold team members accountable.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and food safety.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, wet, and variable-temperature environment.
- Fluency in English is a must, Bilingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel locally between facilities as needed.
