G&E Partners are currently working with a well-established Southern California-based General Contractor, seeking a Senior Project Engineer for a $50M civic development project.


In this role, you will support the delivery of a high-profile public sector project, joining a contractor recognized for their strong presence in California’s institutional, civic, healthcare and educational markets.


Key Responsibilities (Not Exhaustive):

  • Project Coordination : Assist Project Managers and Superintendents throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • Document Management : Administer and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other documentation to ensure compliance with project timelines and public agency requirements.
  • Subcontractor Interface : Help manage subcontractor deliverables, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
  • Schedule Support : Track progress against project schedules and collaborate with team leads to maintain momentum on key milestones.
  • Problem Solving : Identify and resolve technical or logistical challenges as they arise, working with internal teams to minimize disruption.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field required.
  • 2+ years of experience on the GC side, ideally on ground-up public or civic projects.
  • Demonstrated success supporting large-scale vertical construction.
  • Strong job tenure required.
  • Must be able to work onsite in Southern California. This is not a remote opportunity.
  • Prior construction experience in the LA region required.
