Position Title: Senior Manager, Medical Affairs Program Management

Location: Hybrid – Cambridge, MA

Duration: 6-Month Contract


Position Summary:

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Manager, Medical Affairs Program Management to join the Medical Strategy & Execution team at a leading biopharmaceutical organization. In this role, you will lead the coordination and execution of high-impact Medical Affairs initiatives across multiple therapeutic areas, ensuring alignment with scientific, clinical, and business goals.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience in Medical Affairs operations or program management, excellent cross-functional leadership skills, and a proven ability to drive complex projects in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. This hybrid role, based in Cambridge, MA, offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to patient-centered healthcare innovation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee planning and execution of complex Medical Affairs programs including evidence generation, medical communications, stakeholder engagement, and launch readiness activities.
  • Act as a key liaison between Medical Affairs and cross-functional partners including Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial, and HEOR.
  • Drive project timelines, deliverables, risk mitigation plans, and resource coordination across therapeutic area initiatives.
  • Prepare and facilitate Medical Affairs portfolio reviews, leadership updates, and cross-functional status meetings.
  • Lead the coordination of advisory boards, scientific congress planning, symposia, and internal field medical initiatives.
  • Maintain and optimize internal knowledge-sharing platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Veeva Vault), ensuring usability and up-to-date content.
  • Champion the adoption of project management best practices to improve operational efficiency and consistency across the team.
  • Support budget tracking, vendor oversight, and planning cycles related to Medical Affairs strategy execution.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Public Health, or related field (advanced degree preferred: PharmD, MPH, MS).
  • 5–8 years of experience in Medical Affairs, Program Management, or related roles within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional medical programs from planning through execution.
  • Strong understanding of the Medical Affairs function, including scientific engagement, evidence dissemination, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organized with strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project) and content management systems (e.g., SharePoint, Veeva Vault).
