Are you passionate about early childhood education and eager to make a lasting impact in your community? WNCSource Children’s Services is seeking a dedicated Early Head Start Education Coordinator to lead, support, and elevate educational outcomes for our youngest learners.


About the Role


As the Early Head Start Education Coordinator , you will play a key leadership role in designing and implementing high-quality education services for children from birth to age three. You’ll develop a data-driven, systematic approach to curriculum implementation, child assessment, and professional development to ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

You’ll work closely with the Children’s Services Management Team to monitor and support school readiness goals, promote effective teaching practices, and manage coaching and workforce development initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage systems for curriculum fidelity, assessment, and professional development
  • Analyze child outcome data to support continuous quality improvement
  • Supervise and provide reflective supervision to the EHS Behavioral Coach and School Readiness Coaches (3 staff members)
  • Coordinate professional development, including TEACH scholarships, CDA, and training certifications
  • Collaborate with the Compliance & Data Coordinator and HS Education Coordinator on data review and reporting
  • Lead training efforts and contribute to the annual Training & Technical Assistance Plan


Qualifications:


Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with ECE coursework
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in early education

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree with ECE coursework
  • 5 years of experience working with children birth to six
  • 2+ years of management experience in early childhood settings
  • Experience with Head Start/Early Head Start/NC Pre-K programs
  • Familiarity with data systems like ChildPlus, TSG, and other EHS tools
  • Knowledge of curriculum and assessment tools such as:

The Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddlers, and Twos

QCIT (Quality of Care for Infants and Toddlers)
