Travel RN – ICU Stepdown (PCU) – Rochester, NY
Start Date: 9/15
Assignment Length: 17 weeks
Schedule: 3x12s | Rotating Day/Evening/Night shifts
Coverage: Weekends, Holidays, On-Call, Callback, and Charge as needed
Location: Rochester, NY

We are seeking an experiencedStepdown/PCU RN for a high-acuity neurosurgical unit. This opportunity is ideal for nurses with strong critical thinking skills and advanced neuro/ICU stepdown experience.

Key Responsibilities:
The Level II RN, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, delivers competent, evidence-based care and may function in an expanded capacity including preceptor, charge nurse, or unit committee participant.

Requirements:

• MUST HAVE Stepdown/PCU experience

• Active NY RN License

• Minimum 2 years of experience

• BLS (AHA only)

• Telemetry experience

• High-acuity neuro/stroke/neurosurgery experience required

Must be proficient in:

• Q1neuro checks

• EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains

• 3% NS and Cardene drips

• Arterial lines

• Carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coils/clips

• DBS insertion (Deep Brain Stimulator)

• VP shunts and seizure management
