Position Summary: Canyon Vista Medical Center is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Travel Mammography Technologist to join our imaging department for early day shifts. The ideal candidate will be experienced in performing screening and diagnostic mammograms, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining high standards of image quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in accordance with physician orders and department protocols
- Ensure patient safety, privacy, and comfort throughout the imaging process
- Operate and maintain mammography equipment, including digital systems
- Review images for diagnostic quality and accuracy before submission to radiologists
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines including MQSA and ACR standards
Qualifications:
- ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with Mammography credential
- Active Arizona state license (if applicable)
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in mammography in a clinical or hospital setting
- Current BLS certification
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
