What You Will Do | Responsibilities

As a Sr. Financial Analyst with Reata Pharmaceuticals, you will support the finance organization to drive business results, processes and analytical support. In this role, you will be exposed to, and assist with, various finance, analysis, and due diligence activities for the company. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in a fast-paced high-growth environment. Excellent communication, management and technical skills will be essential for this role as well as a passion to be a part of the companys growth.

  • Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
  • Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support
  • Prepare various quantitative reports utilized for management presentations in a timely and professional manner
  • Analyze performance variances to determine contributing factors and recommend alternatives for improved performance
  • Gather information, assemble spreadsheets, write reports, and review pertinent information regarding opportunities for improved organizational effectiveness
  • Develop and maintain analytical tools for decision support
  • Identify opportunities for automation and assist with the implementation
  • Market research, business intelligence, and valuation comps as needed
  • Support the management team with ad hoc projects as needed
  • Work independently and/or as part of a team ensuring workload is prioritized and completed under strict deadlines

What We Are Looking For | Qualifications

  • 3+ years of accounting, finance, finance analytics or similar experience
  • Experience with MS Excel in building models and generating easy-to-interpret reporting of KPIs
  • Proficient experience with presentation tools (i.e. MS PowerPoint)
  • Strong quantitative and analytical competency
  • Able to thrive in a very fast-paced environment and be assertive when needed.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to adapt job responsibilities as required to meet the demands and opportunities of a rapidly growing company
  • Highly motivated, results-focused and act with a high sense of urgency
  • Skilled in use of Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Knowledge of GAAP/SOX and an understanding of internal accounting controls

What We Are Looking For | Education

  • Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting
  • MBA or foreign equivalent degree preferred


Location |
Travel

  • Hybrid based in Dallas/Fort Worth Area
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, as the business requires
