Sr Site Financial Analyst (Sr Operational Business Analyst)

We are seeking a top-notch Senior Operational Business Analyst to provide financial and operational insights to enhance performance and process efficiency.

Job Description

Provide analytical support for all accounting and finance activities, including month-end close, payroll, receivables, payables, etc., as well as operational activities such as warehouse productivity, labor efficiency, throughput reporting, and analysis.

  • Engage directly with customers to discuss billing, strategy, and budgets, typically with the assistance of the General Manager.
  • Handle commercial complexities involving billing parameters, complex discussions (e.g., flex budgeting, KPI penalties/incentives, gain-share/pain-share).
  • Support sites with multiple locations and/or customers.
  • Provide information to external customers regarding items on invoices.
  • Audit vendor payables for accuracy and ensure proper approvals before payments.
  • Maintain professionalism when interacting with external customer representatives.
  • Execute daily contract requirements, identify accessorial activities, and ensure documentation.
  • Collaborate with Finance and HR departments, providing support as needed.
  • Support Kronos application setup to ensure accurate hourly activity reporting.
  • Interact with GMs, Managers, and Supervisors to provide analytical support.
  • Back up the purchasing supervisor when necessary.
  • Participate in activities to maintain a safe, secure, clean, and fair work environment.
  • Work closely with Accounting and Commercial Finance departments.
  • Provide ad-hoc analytical support to operations personnel as needed.
  • Prepare month-end accruals and reclass journal entries.
  • Assist with accounts receivable processing and collections.
  • Assist with accounts payable processing.
  • Reconcile purchase orders to support expense recognition.
  • Prepare labor analysis reports for productivity assessment.
  • Collect performance measurements aligned with customer, vendor, and site requirements.
  • Own balance sheet account reconciliations.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting.
  • Supply chain, warehousing, or logistics experience is preferred.
