Position Summary: The new Financial Advisor expands the Foundations impact by helping more people invest, donate, and partner with us. They cultivate relationships in support of faith communities. This position requires a financial services, investment, or banking background; excellent outward-facing communication; a detail-oriented and systematic approach; and close collaboration within a small team.
Job Responsibilities
- Generate and qualify new leads.
- Customize promotional materials.
- Meet with potential investors, borrowers, and donors, and provide prompt follow up materials after these meetings.
- Discuss goals, objectives, and asset allocations.
- Interpret fund performance and attribution reporting, and highlight similarities and differences with comparable funds.
- Recommend asset allocations based on time horizons and risk tolerance.
- Teach planned giving workshops.
Teamwork:
- Work to continuously improve financial advising processes, document them, and cross-train other members of the Foundations staff.
- Assist Executive Director with responding to inquiries (includes working onsite with Executive Director at least once per month).
- Nurture relationships with current and potential donors, investors, and borrowers, and use CRM software to document conversations.
- Professionally and faithfully represent the Foundation and its mission at conferences, events, and trade shows.
- Assist qualified borrowers with the loan application process.
- Collaborate internally to ensure a smooth new account/loan experience.
- Other duties as assigned.
Professional Skills and Abilities
- 5+ years professional experience in investment, banking, and/or financial services.
- Ability to travel throughout Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington.
- Detail-oriented.
- Self-starter, able to work independently.
- Exceptional presentation skills.
- Positive attitude and friendly phone manner.
- Systematic, proactive approach.
- Professional communication.
- Integrity, trustworthiness, and good judgment with confidential information.
- Ability and willingness to learn new technology. Youll use Google Workspace, Zoom, Copper CRM, and Dropbox daily. Our team also uses Squarespace, Adobe Creative Suite, Hellosign, Basecamp, and C-Suite by Foundant.
- Bachelors degree required; MBA preferred. (Professional experience can be substituted for MBA.)
- Successful candidates will hold a Series 65 or Series 7 /66 License, or be able to pass the Series 65 exam within a 90 day probationary period after date of hire.
- Minimum supportive stance toward communities of faith; participation in a United Methodist or similar community preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check.

This is a remote position with a requirement for frequent travel throughout Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. Preference will be given to candidates who live within, or are willing to relocate to, our service area. Faith Foundation Northwest is headquartered in Cashmere, WA with two local staff and one remote staff. Our team meets weekly via zoom, and communicates daily by group chat. We expect all employees to be available and communicative during regularly scheduled business hours, and to be comfortable collaborating virtually.

Compensation and Benefits Package
Compensation: 80-110K, DOE
This is a permanent, full-time (regular office hours 8am-4pm Pacific Time) exempt position. Comp time is provided when projects and events require work outside the normal workweek.
Benefits: health insurance for the employee or payments in lieu of health insurance, 403.B retirement savings, death and disability benefit, family leave per Washington States FMLA program, 13 paid holidays per year, paid sick time accruing at the rate of 1 hour per 40 hours worked, and vacation accruing per Foundation policy starting with 10 days per year.
