* This site provided is the field office where personnel meet every morning at 6 for a tailgate meeting and then disperse to other locations.

Environmental Geologist/Engineer
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Perform various field and office tasks requiring the application of standard geological and environmental science principles and theories
* Assist and conduct soil, surface water, groundwater, sediment, and other environmental sampling
* Soil classification and sampling during drilling, test pitting, and excavation activities
* Supervise drillers and other subcontractors
* Execute field projects with health and safety as the top priority
* Complete field documentation such as activity hazard analysis (AHA) forms, project field reports, field notes, sampling records, and chain-of-custody forms
* Assist in geologic and environmental analyses and interpretation, which may include hydrogeology and/or geochemistry
* Analyze and interpret environmental sample analysis results within the context of the geological setting
* Prepare figures of environmental data, potentiometric surface maps, geologic maps, and cross sections
* Develop materials and assist in completing reports on finished field work
* May provide technical guidance to lower-level geologists or environmental scientists
* Work with project managers, using interpersonal and organizational skills, to ensure projects are completed on time and budget
* Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
* A familiarity with related environmental rules and regulations is preferred
* This work requires some physical exertion such as extended periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; lifting; recurring bending or similar activities
* Work in adverse weather conditions (e.g., hot, cold, rain, snow)
* Demonstrated proficiency in both written and oral communication skills
* Maturity in interaction and ability to operate self-sufficiently in the field or as part of a team
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's Degree in Geology or related field and typically 3+ years of related work experience
