Essential Functions and Responsibilities

The Training and Development Specialist collaborates with the Training and Employee Development Department to identify, create, and conduct training programs supporting Cascade Management Inc. initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of CMI training programs for various internal and external employees under the guidance of the Training and Employee Development Manager.
  • Assist in gathering and documenting operational procedures to create training materials.
  • Organize and develop training manuals, guides, and course materials such as handouts and visual aids.
  • Review and refine training content to align with operational policies.
  • Facilitate training sessions using diverse instructional techniques like role-playing, simulations, group exercises, videos, and lectures.
  • Innovate and propose alternative training methods to promote employee development in partnership with supervisors and the Training and Employee Development Manager.
  • Maintain and monitor the training database, records, and learning management system, providing support for related inquiries.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Physical Demands

Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED required; Bachelors or Associates degree in Education, Communications, English, or related field preferred; 1+ years experience in public speaking or training facilitation preferred; property management experience (e.g., Community Manager, Property Manager, onsite staff) preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Travel Requirements: Up to 30% travel may be required, as determined by the Training and Development Manager and HR Department.

Language Skills: Ability to interpret safety and operational documents, effectively communicate with groups, and draft training materials. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is preferred.

Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in basic math, including calculations of rates, ratios, and percentages, and ability to interpret graphs.

Reasoning Ability: Capable of problem-solving, asking clarifying questions, and following instructions in various formats.

Certificates and Licenses: Valid Drivers License required.

Other Qualifications: Competence in operating office equipment, MS Office Suite, and virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
