Position Summary & Responsibilities
The Financial Analyst will focus on reporting and analyzing financial results and operational metrics. Reporting to the Director of FP&A, the role involves collaboration with Accounting, Finance, IT, and Operations teams to develop a deep understanding of the business and provide meaningful analysis. The position is based in Birmingham, AL.
Key responsibilities include:
- Review actual results versus trends and budgets, identifying variance drivers for management communication.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly internal reports for management and the board.
- Develop and report on key performance indicators related to expenses and operations.
- Support regional operational analysis and reporting.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and incorporating M&A impacts.
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects and reports.
Position Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of relevant finance or accounting experience preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with Hyperion Essbase and Power BI is a plus.
- Oil and gas industry experience is preferred.
