As a key member of the Chubb Multinational team, the underwriter will contribute to the achievement of regional profitability and production results through the growth, development, and underwriting of international casualty programs for U.S. multinational companies and organizations. In addition, this position is responsible for establishing and cultivating business relationships with brokers, clients, and other relevant spheres of influence within the assigned territory to assure the continued flow of new business opportunities.

This underwriter position will be focused on Entertainment risks as the primary focus; but still learn & be involved in non-Entertainment accounts in support of all Multinational products and industry classes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Evaluate, select, underwrite, price, quote and maintain profitable new and renewal business;
    Produce new business opportunities within the territory.
  2. Manage the implementation and execution of bound controlled master programs in cooperation with Chubbs global services teams and the Chubb Overseas General network.
  3. Retain accounts through active participation in Chubb Stewardship process and superior client servicing.
  4. Coordinate production efforts with other Chubb underwriting divisions to identify account expansion opportunities.
  5. Work with the regional manager to develop and implement marketing plans with brokers and clients in the territory.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Keen interest in international business and foreign affairs.
  2. College degree in insurance, business or related fields or equivalent experience.
  3. Experience in the Entertainment industry is desirable. Preferred 2-3 years commercial property & casualty experience, preferably international casualty and/or Entertainment risks.
  4. Knowledge of Controlled Master Programs and international casualty underwriting principles highly desirable.
  5. Superior communication, interpersonal, negotiating and marketing skills.
  6. Naturally curious and highly analytical.
  7. Strong sales orientation.
  8. Advanced computer skills preferred (ie MS Excel pivot tables).

The pay range for the role is $101,700 to $172,900. The specific offer will depend on an applicants skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found on our careers website. The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
