JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Accounting and Finance, the Financial Analyst is responsible for financial modeling to support strategic planning, annual budgeting, and monthly forecasting. This role will engage with department leaders across Cherokee Town and Country Club organization, in support of management's efforts to ensure financial stability and member satisfaction. This role will aso play a significant part in advancing the organizations analytics and data visualization strategy, with opportunities to engage directly with the CFO and COO.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FINANCIAL ANALYST:
As a Financial Analyst, you use accounting, finance, and business knowledge along with your good judgment to drive our financial success. You will prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial performance variance analyses. Develop financial models in Excel using activity-based business drivers and sensitivity analysis as well as maintain and updating the Club's Capital Maintenance Study to support long-term strategic planning and cash flow forecasting. You will be responsible for calculating key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate results and identify opportunities for revenue optimization, costs savings, and process improvement.
You improve data collections and presentation processes, automating whenever possible and collaborate with department leaders to provide financial analysis in support of both tactical and strategic decision-making. Expand and refine flash reporting related to revenue, costs, labor and expenses. You expand and refine flash reporting related to revenue, costs, labor, and expenses. Conduct ad-hoc analysis to identify trends, patters, and insights that inform business decisions. You will communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely to key stakeholders across the organization. You will also assist the accounting team with tasks and projects needed to support departmental objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
- 1+ years of FP&A experience with experience in hospitability industry is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills, including experience with data analysis.
- A strong understanding of finance principles and a basic understanding of accounting principles
- An analytical mindset with keen attention to detail and a focus on data accuracy and integrity
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
- creative and resourceful problem-solving ability
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to take unstructured data, organize it, and perform advanced analytics
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
