THE ROLEWe are seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Tax Accountant to join our finance team in Orlando, FL. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with corporate tax regulations while providing strategic tax planning and financial reporting support. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in US GAAP accounting, particularly ASC 740, a strong background in corporate income tax matters, and previous knowledge on IFRS 15.
The role requires close collaboration with finance, legal, and external tax advisors to optimize tax positions, ensure timely filings, and support overall business objectives. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast paced, multinational environment where you can apply your tax expertise to help drive financial excellence.
OPPORTUNITIES- Prepare and review corporate income tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax
regulations.
- Ensure accurate tax accounting in accordance with US GAAP, including ASC 740 provisions, using IRFS
15 as primary ledger.
- Assist with tax provision calculations, deferred tax asset/liability analysis, and tax footnote disclosures
for financial statements.
- Support tax planning strategies to optimize the companys tax position.
- Work closely with internal finance teams to ensure tax compliance and reporting accuracy.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and reviews.
- Monitor tax law changes and assess their impact on the companys financial position.
- Assist in transfer pricing documentation and intercompany tax matters.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance tax reporting efficiency
- Apply and ensure compliance with key US GAAP standards, including:
- ASC 606 Revenue recognition (aligned with IFRS 15)
- ASC 842 Lease accounting
- ASC 805 Accounting for business combinations and intangible assets/IP
- ASC 730 Research and development cost accounting
- ASC 718 Stock-based compensation
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or masters degree in taxation is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of ASC 740 and corporate income tax provisions.
- Experience in a multinational corporate tax environment using IFRS or public accounting firm preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
