Job Description

This role involves providing prospects and self-directed investors with financial assistance by identifying product and service solutions that meet their investment and savings needs. Responsibilities include applying knowledge of investments, products, financial markets, policies, procedures, and processes to client needs. The role involves managing, researching, and communicating resolutions to client issues, aiming for high client satisfaction and relationship deepening. This position requires SAFE Act registration, including background checks and registration processes. Failure to maintain registration may result in disciplinary action or termination.

The Investment Consultant II demonstrates investment and financial market knowledge, assisting clients with servicing and trading via inbound and outbound calls. The role involves managing client issues, adhering to policies and procedures, and achieving high client satisfaction and relationship growth.

Responsibilities
  • Providing financial guidance to prospects and existing clients to deepen relationships
  • Educating clients about investment products, services, and trading strategies
  • Achieving performance goals by identifying client needs and referring to appropriate bank services
  • Answering general account inquiries and executing trade orders accurately
  • Assisting clients with website navigation and usage
  • Researching and resolving client requests
  • Staying current on Merrill products, policies, and financial regulations
Required Qualifications
  • Series 7 and 66 (or equivalent); Series 66 must be obtained within 90 days if not held
  • Interest and passion for financial markets
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
  • Knowledge of financial markets, trading strategies, and bank products
  • Technologically savvy with quick learning ability
  • Flexibility to work assigned shifts
Desired Qualifications
  • Call center experience (preferred)
  • Previous brokerage experience (a plus)
  • At least 1 year of financial industry experience
