What youll be doing:

• Analyze complex insurance submissions, recognize exposures, provide coverage options, and offer risk management suggestions within company guidelines.
• Manage assigned underwriting book of business.
• Contribute to company underwriting guidelines, products, and pricing strategies.
• Achieve corporate goals through risk analysis and strategic planning.
• Understand insurance trends, products, and pricing principles.
• Provide leadership and mentorship within the Underwriting Department.
• Build positive relationships with internal and external customers.
• Operate within established binding authority, ensuring compliance and profitability.
• Communicate professionally and timely with all stakeholders.
• Maintain underwriting expertise and stay updated on industry changes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and promote positive change.
• Lead efforts to meet customer expectations and department goals.
• Support and develop team members, acting as a resource and role model.
• Travel as needed with territory sales personnel.

Heres What We Expect

• Bachelor's degree required; an Associate in Underwriting or CPCU courses may substitute.
• 7+ years of property and casualty insurance experience.
• Self-directed with a proactive approach.
• Expertise in underwriting, insurance coverages, and complex transactions.
• Strong decision-making, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to foster positive relationships and support team growth.
• Proficiency with CM Group systems and industry knowledge.

Church Mutual is an equal opportunity employer. Compensation varies based on experience, education, and location, with a minimum of USD $96,600 and a maximum of USD $144,900 annually.
