Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for billing and collections? Acumen Fiscal Agent is looking for an Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join our team and help support our mission of empowering independent living through exceptional participant-directed programs.

The AR Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely full cycle accounts receivable billing, payments, and collections within Acumen for reimbursement. This individual will provide these services to a variety of funding sources as determined and directed by the various program contracts.
- Prepare and process electronic and hardcopy medical claims for various funding sources
- Maintain and update billing records in Excel spreadsheets
- Post payments and manage collections efficiently
- Investigate and resolve denied invoices
- Ensure compliance with contract updates and changes
- Collaborate with internal and external partners for smooth payment processing
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve AR processes
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1+ year of accounts receivable, billing, or collections experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, formulas)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with medical billing and collections
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics and 10-key data entry
- Knowledge of HIPAA and Medicaid regulations
