- Source and evaluate suppliers of construction materials
- Manage purchasing schedules based on project timelines and construction phases
- Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and payment conditions with vendors
- Maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, wholesalers, and logistics partners
- Track orders, ensure on-time delivery, and resolve any supply chain disruptions
- Coordinate with project managers and warehouse teams to meet material needs on site
- Maintain accurate procurement records and cost data
Requirements:
- Proven experience in construction materials procurement in the U.S. market
- Familiarity with residential or commercial construction processes
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple vendors and compare quotes effectively
- Knowledge of logistics, lead times, and warehousing preferred
- Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, or procurement software
Preferred Background:
- Experience working with general contractors, developers, or construction supply companies
