Bookkeeper/Accounting Manager
We are looking for a passionate, detail-oriented part-time (approx. 16 hours per week) bookkeeper/accounting manager. Candidate must have a strong accounting background and be fluent in QuickBooks, Excel, and Timeslips. You will be in charge of monthly forecasting, reconciling general ledger accounts, and working with our accounts payable/receivable clerk.
This position involves:
You should have a bachelor's degree in finance or accounting. We prefer the candidate to be local to the Los Angeles area so you can come into our West Los Angeles office occasionally to work with the President of our firm. Timeslips experience is mandatory. If you do not have Timeslips experience, you will not be considered for this position. Law firm experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
You will be working with our accounts payable/receivable clerk and Firm Administrator, as well as our President. You will not be preparing any tax returns but will be responsible for correctly categorizing expenses and/or reviewing entries in QuickBooks to ensure they are correctly categorized.
You will be responsible for financial forecasting, including providing accurate reports.
Qualifications
•BS in Accounting or Finance
•Strong accounting and financial forecasting background
•QuickBooks and Timeslips experience is mandatory
•Fluent in Word and Excel. Experience in Salesforce is highly desirable
•Law firm experience is highly desirable
•Trust accounting experience required

- QuickBooks - bank and credit card reconciliations; financial statements; bank downloads; reconciling trust accounts between QuickBooks and Timeslips; merchant service issues.
- Timeslips - create custom reports; troubleshoot invoicing, A/R, and trust discrepancies; monitor WIP.
- Excel - reports (monthly, create/customize, import data from QuickBooks and Timeslips into reports); experience with Excel formulas/macros.
- Other Projects - preparing reports, including financial forecasting; special projects.
