The Respiratory Care Assistant (RCA) is enrolled in a recognized Respiratory Care Program that have been approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care.
Responsibilities
- Respiratory Care Assistant will work under the direct supervision of a licensed respiratory care practitioner (RCP).
- The RCA will be competent and perform the following respiratory care procedures: oxygen supply systems, equipment processing, manual resuscitation, oxygen administration, humidity and aerosol therapy, small volume nebulizer therapy, MDI administration, incentive spirometry, non-invasive mechanical airway clearance therapy, chest physiotherapy with suctioning, arterial puncture, electrocardiogram (if performed by hiring institute), and patient reporting.

Licensure:Respiratory Care Assistant Required. Basic Life Support Required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required.
Education:High School Diploma or Equivalent Required - And College Courses Respiratory Therapy Required
Experience:
Training Clinical - Respiratory Therapy Required
