Job Description

The Marketing Automation Specialist (Marketo) is part of the AbbVie Digital Lab and will be responsible for building Healthcare Professional (HCP) 1:1 marketing programs.

This hybrid role requires the ability to commute to our Mettawa, IL office location at least 3 days per week.

Responsibilities Include
  • Build, QC, and execute low-medium complexity brand omnichannel programs, including journeys and trigger programs to deliver the right message at the right time through the right channel.
  • Ensure high-quality, on-time, and error-free campaign implementation, testing, and QA within the Marketo Engage platform.
  • Create and review quality control documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor email deliverability, provide optimization recommendations, and resolve IP reputation issues.
  • Identify issues, root causes, and recommend corrective actions for campaign builds and deliverability.
  • Participate in agile activities such as design, build, QA, and continuous improvement; maintain documentation as per policies.
  • Build and execute test plans, analyze results, and optimize campaigns for deliverability and engagement.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to define, execute, and optimize campaigns across channels.
  • Provide exemplary customer service, set and exceed brand expectations, and update on project risks.
  • Stay informed on industry best practices and new technologies; recommend their application at AbbVie.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 3-5 years experience in Database Marketing, CRM, Email, Digital, or Direct Mail marketing.
  • At least 3 years hands-on experience with enterprise marketing automation platforms like Marketo or SFMC; Marketo Expert Certification preferred.
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong client service and project management skills, effective communication with technical and business teams.
  • Knowledge of database, email, digital, and 1:1 marketing best practices.
  • Analytical skills, proficiency in MS Excel, SQL, HTML/CSS; Adobe suite experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Additional Information

The salary range is $82,500 - $157,500, depending on location and experience. We offer comprehensive benefits, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and participation in incentive programs. Details on pay and benefits are at the company's discretion and may change.
