Who were looking for

We are seeking a Senior Financial and Accounting Analyst to join our growing Finance team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid foundation in both FP&A and accounting who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth environments. Youll play a key role in helping us clean up and standardize our global books, drive budgeting and forecasting processes, and partner across teams to improve financial visibility. Youll work closely with our global accounting firms, our North America and APAC teams, and collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Marketing, and Product. The ideal candidate has a blend of technical accounting knowledge and business-focused financial analysis experience, with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

What Youll Be Doing

Accounting

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closes, including assigned journal entries, balance-sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of operational management accounts
  • Support the cleanup and conversion of global books from cash to accrual basis, ensuring compliance with US GAAP across all regions for consolidated financial reporting
  • Drive improvements in reconciliations, recordkeeping, and documentation, preparing the company for its FY2025 audit
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure correct expense coding and vendor classification
  • Execute mid-level general-ledger account reconciliations, accurate reporting, and data verification, enabling senior staff to analyze options and make financial decisions aligned with company objectives
  • Assist with ERP implementation and global accounting process standardization

FP&A

  • Support financial reporting and internal dashboards, ensuring timely and accurate data
  • Prepare budget vs. actuals, track performance trends, and provide variance analysis with insights to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Assist in preparing monthly forecasts and annual budgets, working with department leads to collect and validate assumptions and improve financial accuracy
  • Maintain and update forecasting models to support scenario planning and runway visibility
  • Support ad hoc financial modeling for key initiatives, pricing strategies, or investment decisions
  • Support strategic analyses for new business initiatives, pricing, and cost optimization

Tools & Process Improvement

  • Drive adoption of FP&A and accounting tools, and contribute to ongoing automation initiatives
  • Help establish scalable processes and internal controls across all geographies
  • Support the development of SOPs and documentation for key financial workflows
  • Mentor junior analysts and support team training on best practices
  • Assist with ad hoc analyses and projects to support leadership decision-making
  • Additional duties as assigned

Minimum requirements for success

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics (CPA preferred but not required)
  • 35+ years of relevant experience in a finance or accounting role
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and experience with cash-to-accrual conversions
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and financial modeling
  • ERP experience preferred (NetSuite, Xero, Intacct, or similar)
  • Experience working with multi-entity, international books is a plus
  • Self-starter with excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Located in the Bay Area (hybrid schedule: 12 days/week in San Mateo office)
