This position is a management role that oversees various functional obligations and serves as a high level of management for the complexity of multi-facet blended established teams. Responsibility areas of this role include assisting with strategic planning, continuous risk management, and multi business unit coordination within a framework of rapid deadlines. This role contributes significantly to coordination with all business units and the process design, development and improvement for all areas of the functional areas of the indirect tax team. This role reports directly to the Indirect Tax Director.

Primary resource for the multifunctional areas to execute short and/or long-term goals and objectives for compliance and risk management.

Coordinates with senior management on interpretations and applications of law and regulatory changes in all states for making business decisions with various levels of complexity in all areas of Indirect Tax.

Implements action plans, generates, resolutions and solutions for sales tax, licensing, unclaimed property and business governance team responsibilities.

Responsible for coordinating with HR and management in decisions for team member on-boarding, terminations, complex concerns.

Develops P&P to recommend to senior management teams.

Suggests budget expenses for the Indirect Tax Team.

Conduct various analytical analysis to identify issues and propose corrective actions.

Extensive reconciliations of relevant balance sheet ledgers related to the Indirect Team.

Manage and lead federal and state compliance processes surrounding Indirect Tax functional areas, while coordinating between our precise leaders and advisors.

Coordinates internal and external audit activities for all states across the organization.

Makes recommendations to senior leadership on findings from tax and licensing authorities.

Understand, maintain and improve the processes related to tax accruals, bad debts processes, accurate ledger accounting as well as respond to state and local jurisdictions on compliance tax matters.

Manage and oversee all aspects of the indirect tax functions, including preparation and review of multi-state sales/use tax, property tax, business governance, Unclaimed Property and other applicable responsibilities.

Manages multiple specialized functional roles within the Indirect Tax team to provide guidance and support to Indirect team members.

Executes departmental workflow plans for various teams across multiple business units.

Manage and oversee all aspects of the indirect tax functions, including preparation and review of multi-state sales/use tax, property tax, business governance, licensing, unclaimed property and other applicable responsibilities.

Seeks out potential software that may be beneficial for process improvements and compliance across various business units based on cost, and ROI, and necessary testing to accommodate the companys needs.

Serves as the principal level of coaching and mentoring for various roles on Indirect Tax functional areas on the team, including developing supervisors with the overall goal for personal growth within the team.

Responsible for team performance and results for indirect tax compliance across multiple business organizations.

Seeks out potential software that may be beneficial for process improvements and compliance across various business units. Including the implementation and extensive testing to ensure accuracy and efficiency to accommodate the companys need.

Initiates team member development and initiatives to continue the growth of multiple team members.

Education: High School Diploma/GED Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience required.

Years of Related Experience: Minimum 7 years related experience.

Strong Accounting background and/or experience required.

Strong attention to detail, communication, both written and verbal, and strong analytical skills.

Demonstrate excellent time management skills and use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of service.

Self-directed with ability to work autonomously on projects.

Client-oriented work ethic, delivering high quality results.
