Tax Manager

Alliance Resource Group has partnered with a well-known and respected private equity firm that is looking to add a Tax Manager to their team due to year-over-year growth.

There is incredible opportunity for growth within the organization. This position will report to an ex-Big 4 partner who prioritizes mentorship and development of their team.

Responsibilities include:

1. Work with external tax accountants to review and file annual federal (Forms 1065 and 1120), state, and other returns for various limited partnerships, limited liability companies, and corporations in compliance with laws and regulations within specified time frames.
2. Perform tax withholding analysis on distributions to investors in collaboration with Fund Accountants; including coordination and review of Forms W-8 and W-9, as applicable.
3. Address investor-related tax questions in partnership with the Investor Relations team.
4. Assist Fund Accountants, portfolio companies, and external tax accountants in preparing taxable income estimates and reviewing tax distribution calculations.
5. Support transaction tax structure and fundraising review processes.
6. Ensure compliance with FATCA, CRS, and other tax regulatory regimes by working with external tax accountants and fund administrators.
7. Handle federal/state tax notices and regulatory correspondence.
8. Coordinate reporting of annual 1099s and 1042s with Fund Accountants and external tax accountants, ensuring timely processing of tax payments and refunds.
9. Review draft and final Schedule K-1s and tax returns for accuracy before filing.
10. Assist with tax audits, if necessary.
11. Calculate use tax, property tax, LA City Business Tax, and SIFL for the management company.
12. Review PTET payments and coordinate accordingly.
13. Review GP financial statements, tax returns, and quarterly estimates.
14. Stay updated on new or amended tax regulations affecting funds and businesses.

With extensive experience in financial executive search and a strong technical foundation in accounting, Chloe is an exceptional strategic partner for Alliances clients and candidates.
